How CAC is calculated

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) measures the average amount your business spends to acquire one new customer. Add your marketing and sales acquisition costs, then divide the total by the number of new customers acquired during the same period.

CAC = (Marketing Costs + Sales Costs) ÷ New Customers

For example, if you spend $8,000 on marketing and sales and acquire 40 new customers, your CAC is $200 per customer.
