Passwords are not stored in plain text. Passwords are securely hashed before being stored in our database.

• Company size
• Information submitted during verification

Information included in a published business profile may be publicly visible because Listed Firm operates as a public business directory.

Verification information

Depending on the verification method, this may include domain ownership information, business documentation, publicly available business information, or information obtained through supported third-party verification services.

We use verification information to evaluate eligibility for Listed Firm verification and to maintain the integrity of our directory.

Google authentication

If you choose to sign in using Google, we may receive information provided by Google such as your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture.

We use this information to create and authenticate your Listed Firm account. We do not receive your Google password.

How we use your information

We use information we collect to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• authenticate users;
• send account and security emails;
• create and manage business listings;
• process profile claims;
• perform business verification;
• maintain and improve the directory;
• prevent fraud and abuse;

Public business profiles

Listed Firm is designed to publish business information for directory and search purposes. Once a business listing is published, information contained in that profile may be publicly accessible through Listed Firm and search engines.

This may include the business name, description, website, category, location, company size, founding year, verification status, and other information intentionally submitted for publication.

Verification badges

If a business receives a Listed Firm verification badge, information about its verification status may be publicly displayed on its Listed Firm profile and through an embeddable verification badge.

We do not intentionally publish private verification documents or sensitive verification information unless required or explicitly authorized.

How we store and protect data

Account and application data is stored in our database and hosted infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Authentication credentials and passwords are handled using appropriate security mechanisms. Authentication sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies where supported.

However, no internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Email communications

We may send transactional emails related to your Listed Firm account, including account verification, password reset, security notifications, business listing updates, and verification decisions.
